The characters of Devil & Devil are many, and each and every one of them is an interesting person, in one way or another! I have listed below the main characters and their profiles, and I will be adding more as they arrive in the spotlight.

Sword/Souma
Sword is an extremely powerful demon and friend of Shiva Garland, but during a battle with Ios, he and Ios were forced to take human forms to survive. Relocated in the body of a former star student and general good guy, he is often frustrated by his situation and by the fact that his big brother is in fact an Angel.
Ios/Kanna
Ios is an angel, and while he was fighting with Sword, they both were forced to take human forms in order to survive. Frustrated by the fact that his host body was formerly a bad boy and a constant troublemaker, he has come to terms with Sword and in fact seems to harbor a genuine affection for him as both brother and friend.
Nanami
Souma's childhood friend, unwittingly drawn into the battle between Devils and Angels. Since he was always being beaten up, she always protected him from the bullies and the punks, which of course makes Sword feel miserable.
Komorineko
Assistant and companion to Sword initially, it transpires that komorineko (bat-cat) is in reality under the command of Shiva, an old Devil friend of Sword's. At first the cat takes the form of just a cat with wings, and then changes to a cat-person later.
Shiva Garland
Incredibly strong Devil, Sword's former best friend. He seeks to strengthen Sword rather than to really harm him, but at times he appears overbearing and arrogant. However, he is in reality very concerned about his friend; he also commands Komorineko.
Shekil
Another Angel, Shekil idolizes and seems to be in love with Ios. When Ios is returned to Heaven to be purified from Kanna's influence, Shekil returns Kanna to the living world and is banished from the other Angels for doing so, and he decides to spend his time making sure Sword pays Ios the respect he feels his idol deserves.
Lilith
Younger sister to Shiva Garland, she appears childlike but is in reality a fully-grown Devil and holder of extremely powerful magick. Her grandfather was a legendary figure in the Devils' world, as he perfected one of the most powerful techniques of soul magick in exchange for his life.
Ranfuu
A seemingly selfish figure, Ranfuu is a demon-sealer whose goal is to gain great power by sealing up a huge number of demons. More powerful than most humans, his umbrella is often enough to turn away most magickal and supernatural attacks. While he often comes off as cold and cruel, he does in fact have a soft side that he prefers to hide.
